Nyamai Mataniah

Logistics and Procurement Officer

Nyamai serves as the Logistics/Procurement Officer for Relief, Reconstruction and Development Organization (RRDO) where his responsibilities include assessing and projecting the annual procurement needs of the organization project activities in order to determine its procurement strategy and developing a strategic approach through appropriate and timely procurement planning. He ensures full compliance with regulations, policies, best practice in the end to end procurement cycle, from planning to delivery and oversees efficient vehicle fleet and fuel management. He maintains constant and continuous liaison with donor supply unit offices.

Nyamai has substantial experience in the whole Humanitarian Supply chain management having worked and delivered on various tasks at the Kenya Red Cross Society where he coordinated Logistics and supply chain for six Districts funded by ECHO. He has been involved with pre- and post-project evaluations for external funders such as UNHCR and WFP.

He is a member of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) -UK and his current research interests include humanitarian supply chain management, sustainability and supply chain management interface.
